Voltalia, a global player in renewable energy, has been awarded two new turnkey EPC contracts by Ireland’s semi-state utility ESB for the development of Carriglong (43.7 MW) and Clashwilliam (49.2 MW) solar power plants, totaling 92.9 megawatts.

This marks the fourth collaboration between Voltalia and ESB since 2023, reflecting growing confidence in Voltalia’s engineering and project delivery capabilities in the Irish renewable sector.
These projects are part of ESB’s continued investment in solar infrastructure, aligning with Ireland’s national targets for clean energy generation. Voltalia’s previous work with ESB includes the 108 MW Timahoe North solar park (developed in partnership with Bord na Móna) and the 75 MW Middleton House project.
Since the summer of 2024, Voltalia has secured over 600 MW of new construction contracts in Ireland alone, in addition to 365 MW already commissioned across the country since 2022.
