Qassim Cement Awards $298M EPC Contract to Sinoma for New Production Line

Qassim Cement Company has signed a USD 298 million EPC contract with Sinoma International Engineering Company to build a fourth production line at its existing cement plant in Buraydah City, Saudi Arabia.

The new facility will have a production capacity of 10,000 tons per day (TPD) and will be developed using the latest technologies in the cement industry.

The contract, signed on 14 August 2025, will be executed over 24 months and is expected to significantly improve energy efficiency while reducing production costs once operations commence.

Strategic Impact

According to Eng. Omar Al-Omar, CEO of Qassim Cement, the new line will replace outdated, low-efficiency production units with a modern, advanced system. The project is aligned with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, focusing on:

  • Optimizing utilization of existing plant infrastructure
  • Meeting domestic demand while diversifying product offerings
