L&T Energy Wins Ultra-Mega Contract to Build 6,400 MW Thermal Power Project

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured an ultra-mega contract from Adani Power Ltd to construct eight advanced thermal power units, each with a capacity of 800 MW, adding 6,400 MW of new generation capacity to India’s energy infrastructure.

The order will be executed by L&T Energy – CarbonLite Solutions (LTECLS), the company’s specialist vertical for advanced power and low-carbon technologies.

LTECLS will deliver the complete Boiler-Turbine-Generator (BTG) packages, including auxiliaries and associated mechanical, electrical, and control & instrumentation (C&I) systems, from design and engineering through to manufacturing, supply, and commissioning.
