Ahmadi, Kuwait – International industrial services provider Bilfinger has been awarded a major FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) contract by Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) for the development of the new North Oil Pier at the Mina Al Ahmadi Refinery.
This project marks a crucial step in modernizing Kuwait’s energy export infrastructure, ensuring long-term resilience and global competitiveness.

With existing oil piers nearing the end of their operational life by 2030, KNPC is taking forward-looking steps to guarantee uninterrupted petroleum exports.

The new oil pier, along with upgraded onshore facilities, will support Kuwait’s energy logistics well beyond 2030.

This contract reinforces Bilfinger’s role as a key engineering partner in Kuwait’s energy sector, known for its experience in marine and oil & gas infrastructure. It also reflects a broader commitment to sustainable energy development and infrastructure resilience in the region.
