Wood has secured contracts worth $18 million to provide project management consultancy (PMC) services for Turkey’s largest polypropylene plant and its associated terminal facility, part of the Ceyhan Project. The company will deploy over 70 experts to support the EPC phase of the plant and the engineering and procurement of the terminal.

Strategic Importance
Located in the Ceyhan industrial zone, the facility is expected to produce 472,500 tons of polypropylene per year, tripling Turkey’s production capacity. By meeting 17% of national demand, the project will significantly reduce reliance on imports and enhance Turkey’s petrochemical self-sufficiency.
The terminal facility, dedicated to propane storage and distribution, is strategically located near major ports and high-demand petrochemical regions, ensuring efficient supply chain integration.
Sustainability Features
The plant will operate on 100% renewable electricity and use internally produced hydrogen as fuel, marking a significant step in reducing carbon emissions within the petrochemical industry.
