MT Group, a leading European EPC contractor, has been awarded a key contract to execute the topside and onshore-based infrastructure at the Brunsbüttel FSRU LNG Terminal in Germany.
The contract, awarded by Worley on behalf of Deutsche Energy Terminal GmbH (DET), marks a significant milestone in Germany’s energy security drive and in MT Group’s expansion across Western Europe.
Under this agreement, MT Group will carry out mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, civil installation, and tie-in works for the FSRU’s relocation as part of Phase 2 of the terminal’s development.

Key Project Highlights MT Group – Brunsbuttel FSRU Contract:

This is MT Group’s second major contract in Brunsbüttel, following its ongoing 50 MW heater facility project for Gasfin, signed in October 2024.

The Brunsbüttel Terminal has been operational since 2023 and plays a critical role in Germany’s LNG import infrastructure. Phase 2 of the project involves relocating the FSRU to its permanent jetty, reinforcing long-term gas supply resilience.
