POWERCHINA has signed an EPC contract with Spain-based Viroque Energy Co for the Arreaz Photovoltaic Power Station Project, located in San Roque, Cádiz, in the Andalusia region of Spain.

The solar plant will have an installed capacity of 44 megawatts and is expected to generate around 95,000 MWh of clean electricity annually, supporting the region’s shift toward low-carbon energy and helping improve the local power structure.
Under this contract, POWERCHINA will be responsible for the design, procurement, construction, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of the project.
Viroque Energy, known for its operations in petroleum products, biofuels, natural gas, and LNG across Europe, America, and Africa, is now expanding into the renewable energy sector as part of its green transition strategy. This project marks an important step in their commitment to solar, wind, and energy storage initiatives.
