CC7 & Hyphen Sign EPC Contract for World’s Largest Green Ammonia Project in Namibia

In a landmark development for the global green hydrogen and ammonia industry, CC7 (a subsidiary of China National Chemical Engineering Group Corp. – CNCEC) and Hyphen Hydrogen Energy have officially signed a FEED + EPC contract for the 2.4 MTPA green ammonia package of the Hyphen Hydrogen Project in Namibia.

The contract signing ceremony was attended by top-level leadership, including Mo Dingge, Chairman of CNCEC, and Marco Raffinetti, CEO of Hyphen Hydrogen Energy. Under their witness, Long Haiyang, Chairman of CC7, and Giuseppe Surace, COO of Hyphen Hydrogen Energy, formally signed the agreement.

This agreement marks a major milestone in the development of green hydrogen infrastructure globally. Once completed, the Hyphen Hydrogen Project will be the largest green ammonia facility in the world, positioning Namibia as a key player in the global clean energy transition.

This collaboration is a pivotal step forward for sustainable hydrogen and ammonia production at scale,” said industry experts present at the event.

The partnership demonstrates a strong commitment to low-carbon energy solutions and reflects the growing global interest in green hydrogen as a fuel of the future. It also cements China-Namibia cooperation in the field of renewable energy and large-scale EPC project execution.
