Bechtel, a global leader in engineering and construction, has been appointed as the Project Management Consultant (PMC) for World Expo 2030 in Riyadh, one of the world’s most anticipated events of the decade. The event will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and will run under the theme “Foresight for Tomorrow,” aligning closely with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

The Expo is expected to attract participation from 195+ countries, 29 international organizations, and an estimated 42 million visitors. Bechtel will work alongside Expo 2030 Riyadh Company to manage and deliver the full infrastructure program for the six-square-kilometer site, which includes early works, utilities, roads, and public spaces.

The Expo’s masterplan is deeply rooted in international sustainability standards, with initiatives like reforestation, renewable energy integration, and advanced water treatment forming a core part of the long-term vision.
This appointment further cements Bechtel’s role in shaping the future of Saudi Arabia’s infrastructure and its global position in hosting transformative events.
