Aker Solutions has secured a sizeable EPCIC contract from Equinor to modify the Troll C platform in preparation for the Fram Sør subsea tie-back development. Fram Sør is located approximately 20 kilometers north of Troll C and will be tied back to the platform, using its existing processing capacity.

Under this contract, Aker Solutions will handle the engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning of the necessary topside modifications on Troll C. The scope also includes services related to the new subsea templates that will be part of the tie-back system.
Aker Solutions has already completed the FEED (Front-End Engineering and Design) phase for this project, led by its Bergen office. The detailed engineering, procurement, and shop engineering activities will be shared between Bergen and Mumbai, while fabrication will be conducted at the company’s Egersund yard in Norway.
Work will begin immediately, with production from Fram Sør expected to start by the end of 2029. The contract will be recorded as part of Aker Solutions’ Life Cycle segment in Q3 2025 order intake.
This award further reinforces Aker Solutions’ role as a key provider of lifecycle services and platform upgrade solutions in Norway’s offshore oil and gas sector.
