This major phase of the MoreRNO Infrastructure Program is a cornerstone investment to modernize the region’s gateway for the next 40 years of air travel.
With a pre-approved budget of $650 million and funding secured through a 10-year airline partnership, the project will replace the aging B and C concourses with brighter, more efficient, and passenger-friendly spaces.

It will include expanded seating areas, enhanced natural lighting, advanced travel technologies, and upgraded retail and dining options to elevate the passenger experience.
McCarthy brings national aviation construction expertise and previously delivered the newly expanded Ticketing Hall as part of Phase One of MoreRNO. The company will now lead the transformation of the airport’s concourse infrastructure while maintaining active operations.
“As our region continues to grow, so do the expectations and needs of the travelers who depend on RNO. The New Gen A & B Concourses are a critical step toward building the airport our region deserves—modern, efficient, and welcoming,”
said Daren Griffin, President and CEO of RTAA.
In line with sustainability goals, the project includes a new Centralized Utility Plant (CUP) to efficiently power the expanded terminal facilities, aligning with the airport’s long-term vision for a resilient and future-ready infrastructure.
“We’re honored to continue our partnership with RNO and contribute McCarthy’s national aviation expertise to improving the passenger experience in northern Nevada,”
added Mark Crosby, Vice President of Aviation at McCarthy.
This latest contract strengthens McCarthy’s growing portfolio of aviation infrastructure projects, which includes ongoing developments at major U.S. airports such as Harry Reid International (LAS), Sky Harbor International (PHX), and San Francisco International (SFO).
Construction on the New Gen A & B Concourses is expected to begin in early 2026, with careful planning to ensure minimal disruption to travelers throughout the build.
