Hartek, a leading EPC company in power and renewable infrastructure, has secured a ₹138 crore contract from Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (POWERGRID). The project involves setting up a 400kV AIS Substation (Package SS-66T) to support renewable energy integration in Karnataka.

The project is part of the Transmission Scheme for integrating Davanagere, Chitradurga, and Ballari Renewable Energy Zone (REZ). It was awarded through the Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) route, showcasing Hartek’s expertise in delivering critical transmission infrastructure.
Hartek’s scope of work includes:
- Design, engineering, procurement, and construction
- Testing at the manufacturer’s works
- Supply, transportation, and insurance
- Unloading, storage, erection, testing, and commissioning
This substation will play a key role in transmitting renewable energy from Karnataka’s REZ to the national grid. The project aligns with India’s target of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030, enhancing grid stability and supporting the green energy transition.
