Adani Energy Solutions Secures ₹1,660 Crore Project

Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL), India’s largest private transmission and distribution company, has won a major inter-state transmission project worth ₹1,660 crore in Maharashtra. This project is part of AESL’s continued push to strengthen India’s green energy infrastructure.

The project includes building transmission infrastructure with 3,000 Mega Volt-Amperes (MVA) of substation capacity. Once completed, AESL’s total transmission network will expand to 26,696 circuit kilometers (ckm) and 93,236 MVA transformation capacity.

AESL will execute the project under a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) named WRNES Talegaon Power Transmission Ltd, which was officially transferred to AESL today. The new system will evacuate 1.5 GW of renewable energy from upcoming hydro Pumped Storage Projects (PSPs) and serve Mumbai and surrounding regions.

The company secured this project through the Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process. REC Power Development and Consultancy Ltd (RECPDCL) acted as the bid process coordinator.

With this latest win, AESL’s total transmission orderbook now stands at approximately ₹61,600 crore.
