Project Overview:

In June 2025, SMEC (India) – MSV International JV secured a ₹1.97 crore consultancy contract to prepare the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the eastward extension of Urban Extension Road (UER)-II, connecting it to the Delhi–Saharanpur Highway (NH-709B).

The proposed extension will start from Bankoli village, the current northern end of the 74.98 km UER-II expressway (NH-344M), and stretch approximately 14–15 km, crossing the Yamuna River to link with NH-709B, which itself forms part of the Delhi–Dehradun Expressway (NH-344G).

This DPR is a key step towards boosting connectivity between Delhi and Saharanpur, and integrating UER-II with major regional corridors such as the Delhi–Dehradun Expressway.

Additional UER-II Consultancy Works in Pipeline:

  • Connection between Delhi–Amritsar–Katra Expressway (NE-5) and UER-II
  • Extension of UER-II deeper into Uttar Pradesh, possibly up to Ghaziabad
