Saipem has secured a major EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contract worth approximately €155 million from Enilive, Eni’s company focused on biorefining, biomethane, smart mobility, and clean energy solutions.

The project will expand the Enilive biorefinery in Porto Marghera, near Venice. The plant’s capacity will increase from 400,000 to 600,000 tons per year, with plans to start producing Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) by 2027.
This award follows a previous contract granted to Saipem for early engineering and procurement services for the same project earlier this year. The project is part of a renewed collaboration agreement between Saipem and Eni to support the growing biorefining sector.
Saipem’s involvement highlights its continued commitment to the energy transition and reinforces its position as a key player in sustainable fuel and biorefinery developments.
