1. Studio Miquel Lacomba has completed an Eco-Passive house project in the Valley of Puigpunyent, Majorca, Spain.
/techiocivil
2. The design incorporates passive resources like south-facing orientation, sunlight control, and high thermal insulation to achieve low energy consumption and a comfortable living space.
/techiocivil
3. The house is located in the Sierra de Tramuntana mountain range, offering optimal south-facing orientation and scenic hillside views.

4. A small porch with movable vertical slats allows for sunlight control, while the interior features a living-dining room area and a staircase that doubles as a bookcase.

5. The fireplace is designed to meet the air tightness and insulation requirements of a passive house and serves as a connection to the rural context.

6. The design team pays attention to colors and materials, utilizing warm tones, wood, natural stone, and lime mortar for the interior finishes.

7. The house incorporates passive design features such as thermal insulation, control of thermal bridges, good air tightness, double flow mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, and high insulation windows.

8. Solar panels are used to cover the energy demand of the house, while cross ventilation takes advantage of the natural coolness of the valley during summer nights.

9. The construction materials include sustainably sourced wood, ceramic brick, lime mortar, natural cork insulation, and environmentally friendly finishes.

10. The building envelope is designed as a "third skin" with breathable materials like lime, allowing for natural regulation of humidity. Local and national materials are prioritized to minimize the ecological footprint.
