Patel Engineering Ltd. has secured a contract worth ₹711.29 crore from NEEPCO for the construction of the 240 MW HEO Hydropower Project in Shi Yomi district, Arunachal Pradesh.
The project will be developed under the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) model. Patel Engineering was earlier declared the L1 (lowest) bidder for this project.

The project includes an installed capacity of 240 MW (3 x 80 MW) would produce 1000 Million Units (MU) of energy. The Power generated from the Project will help improve the power supply position in the state of Arunachal Pradesh and will also help in balancing of the national Grid.
The work includes the construction of civil structures, related infrastructure, and testing and commissioning of hydro-mechanical plant and machinery. The aim is to ensure smooth and successful operation of all generating units of the hydropower plant.
The project is expected to be completed in 44 months, and it will contribute to boosting clean energy generation in the northeastern region of India.
